The value of performance feedback within organizations is unquestioned. The frequency, format, etc. might be evolving, but the concept of having regular touchpoints of feedback, and feedback from key stakeholders, is a fundamental tenet of our workplaces.
In that spirit, XpertHR seeks feedback on an ongoing basis to validate our efforts and results. We obtain feedback from our subscribers via a net performer score survey to all subscribers, by entering product awards, by conducting focus groups, by qualitatively interviewing subscribers and many more outreach efforts. Some of these mechanisms allow us to benchmark ourselves against others in the market while others are more qualitative and inwardly focused.
Our goal is to achieve as close to a 360-degree evaluation as feasible, with ongoing, real-time touchpoints and feedback from a wide range of stakeholders in our effort to continue to be the best information resource for HR professionals.
XpertHR recently won prestigious awards for very different parts of our services, offering a lens into how our efforts are perceived and valued.
The American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) sponsors an annual award program called the AZBEES for business publications of all types. A rigorous application and judging process, starting with regional and culminating in a national competition results in the final determination of awards. The AZBEE 2016 winners were recently announced. The Azbee Awards of Excellence program is one of the most competitive there is for business-to-business, trade, association, and professional publications. The awards recognize outstanding work by magazines, newsletters and digital media — Web sites, e-newsletters, digital magazines and blogs.
This year, the XpertHR Blog (which you are reading now!), achieved the tremendous honor of a gold award in the northeast region AND the national awards, in the “Blog ‑ How-to Tips/Service” category.
Also this year, the XpertHR 50-State Employee Handbooks tool, newly added to XpertHR in 2015, won silver in the northeast region and bronze in the national awards, in the “Premium Content Section” category.
XpertHR is honored to have achieved these distinctions in such a competitive award program and pledge to continue to focus on producing the highest quality products and services for our customers.
In addition, our recent partner, ComplianceHR, was also awarded a key honor – one of HRE’s Top 10 HR Products of the Year for their Navigator Suite, which helps with FLSA-driven employee classifications. HRE’s awards are focused primarily on HR Saas-type applications rather than pure information services. XpertHR’s addition of the Navigator Suite to our service complements the depth of FLSA and state/local wage-hour compliance information already available.
HRE relied on a combination of staff reviews and selections, and comments from outside experts and analysts, to narrow the list from the many entries received to the 10 winners. Experts of the likes of Josh Bersin, principal at Bersin by Deloitte, Deloitte Consulting LLP; Gerry Crispin, principal and co-founder of CareerXroads; Bill Kutik, HRE’s HR Technology Columnist; Kyle Lagunas, research manager for talent acquisition and staffing at International Data Corp.; George LaRocque, principal analyst and founder of #HRWINS; Holger Mueller, vice president and principal analyst for Constellation Research; Elaine Orler, CEO and founder of Talent Function; and Brian Sommer, CEO of TechVentive evaluated the entries.
According to the awards release, HRE said of the Navigator Suite: “Think of Navigator Suite as a kind of Turbo Tax for HR. This is a very practical tool that, in many cases, can provide employers legal evaluations far more cheaply and quickly than a lawyer could. …ComplianceHR describes Navigator Suite as the first to combine that technology with subject-matter expertise for these kinds of risk assessments.”
